The Custom Schmidt cable part number 18-3460308 is made to "Tee" into the controller harness cable.

Use the other end to connect to the IOX-WRKS primary port.

Use HRN-DB9SI15 if additional length is required.

Schmidt Com settings (RS-232 setup) are in the “Code” menu

The Schmidt data can be observed / confirmed with a computer using a Terminal application.

Plug your computer com port into Schmidt com cable.

Select the correct port and set the baud rate to 9600.
 - 
                     
Device = AL+Gateway.
 - 
                     
Each time the controller sends a data stream, it can be confirmed.
 - 
                     
An “Event change” is required to send data. This can be done by pressing (on and off) he green knob on the controller.

With controller power on (top left), press the Menu button (top right) to enter the Driver menu screen
 - 
                     
Use the assigned button to scroll down to “Simulated driving speed”.
 - 
                     
Select “+” to turn simulated speed on, then select the check mark to confirm this selection, then enter to return to Operator page.
 - 
                     
Set spinner, conveyor and liquid to desired settings.
 - 
                     
Press the “0/1" button to activate the controller.
 - 
                     
Verify data flow.
 - 
                     
When test is complete, repeat the steps above ensuring Sim Speed is off.
 - 
                     
Never leave a controller in simulation mode!
